Your dog and your recipes

The free check runs in your browser. Your dog’s details, recipes, own labels and saved plans are saved in your browser’s local storage, not on our servers. Two things are computed on our server, which answers and keeps nothing: the preview on the result page (what balancing could do, sent with the ingredients, grams and your dog’s daily calories, no name) and, with a plan, the balanced plan itself (the same, plus your dog’s name if you gave one and any own ingredients or supplements you use). With a One dog plan we store the dog’s id from your browser and its name (if you gave one) with your payment at Stripe, to link the plan to that dog.

Payments

Stripe processes payments; we never see your card number. We keep a cookie on your browser, sent only to our own API, that holds your Stripe checkout id signed by our server, so the paid features work. With the checkout we also give Stripe the anonymous analytics id of your browser, to count completed purchases. Stripe keeps your email and payment details under its own privacy policy. Your access link works like a password for your plan: keep it to yourself.

Cat waitlist

If you join the cat waitlist we keep your email and the date, only to email you once when the cat version is ready. Ask us to delete it any time.

Analytics

We use PostHog to count visits and steps (for example “check completed” or “checkout started”) with an anonymous id, and where on a page people click (heatmaps). These requests go through our own server, which passes on only what PostHog needs, including your IP address for a rough location; cookies and the page address with a checkout id are not passed on. We don’t send names, emails, recipes or payment ids to analytics, page text is masked, and there is no session recording or error reporting. Cloudflare may count page views at the network edge.
